AmeriCorps

Michigan’s AmeriCorps is a national service program, similar to a domestic Peace Corps. Members contribute one year of service in exchange for a living allowance and an education award to help pay for college or repay student loans.

Camp Fire USA’s AmeriCorps members help staff and volunteers reach out to children in our after-school, summer and Community Family Club programs. Their presence at our programs gives children an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with adults and helps Camp Fire provide the support that children need to succeed as adults.

Once a year, Camp Fire recruits AmeriCorps members to serve in its summer and annual programs. For more information or to request an application, please call (616) 949-2500 or visit www.americorps.org.
